Furthering their bid to bring their world class standards of quality and customer service to India, Keen to Clean attended their international traders’ convention: the 2011 Mumbai Franchising Expo. The Group set a clear challenge to all opponents that it wished to herald in a new era of cleaning services in a country infamous for low standards.
The Expo, one of the largest in India, is a hotpot of traders and the place to go for new ideas and trends in India’s booming markets and took place on the 21st and 22nd of May. Keen to Clean brings a unique slant to the convention, having established itself in Australia it wishes to bring the standards and quality it had established with it over to India as opposed to vice versa in a bee hive of local emerging franchises and services.
“India does not have a great reputation for cleaners, and the industry in India is in disarray. We feel that by riding the momentum we have built in Australia we can create a stronghold in India and use the two markets to complement and strengthen each other,” said Brijesh Purohit, Managing Director of the Keen to Clean Group on his decision to expand backwards into the Indian market. “I am Australian, but obviously establishing excellent standards in my home country has a lot of meaning to me.”
